Southern Light Flyers
The Sussex Microlight School
'Southern Light Flyers' has been teaching the art of microlighting in Sussex for nearly 10 years. Based at Deanland Airfield (to the NE of Lewes), training to a high standard is provided, covering all aspects of safe and competent flying including farm strip operations.
Many microlights are based at Deanland, along with an interesting assortment of light aircraft ranging from Jodels, Jungman, Chipmunk, Cessna, Piper and CAP, providing an interesting and varied backdrop for the aviation minded.
The new breed of microlights are far advanced from their early roots. They now provide a safe and relatively inexpensive path to flying. Equaling, and in many areas, exceeding the performance of conventional light aircraft.
